The five friends from Castelldefels (Barcelona) who created a WhatsApp group under the name of K-Team Manada joked about the possibility of ending up, like the perpetrators of the Pamplona rape, behind bars.
They bragged about their joint relationships with girls and shared recorded sex videos without the consent of their victims.
“This is going to be Pack 2.0, you know?
Let that girl run away from there, but run away now, "wrote one of them.
What started as a bad joke ended up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy: they have been in provisional prison for three weeks for three alleged sexual assaults committed in 2021.
The girl who uncovered the aberrant practices of the Castelldefels Pack —acts of “sexual predation”, in the words of the judge investigating the case— testified this Wednesday in court.
She was 20 years old when she met Alejandro Raúl PC, alias
El Cubano
, through Badoo (a dating application) .
She told him that she had a fantasy: a threesome with two men.
They went to a hostel near Sants station, in Barcelona, and they made it happen.
They repeated it at a party at his house, where she was invited again later, around the month of June.
It was then that the attack occurred.
According to the girl's story – which, the Mossos say, presents some contradictions – she was recorded with Alejandro's mobile while he gave her fellatio.
She asked him to stop.
But he reacted violently ("Shut up, whore, we're going to enjoy the night"), invited the rest of his friends to have sex with her without asking, and allegedly inserted a bottle of beer into her vagina.
Before leaving, El Cubano showed him the video: "Look, this is you with everyone on top of you."
The judge will try to clarify whether or not the rape occurred, although the summary of the case, to which EL PAÍS has accessed, shows that the girl was surely the victim of at least one crime against privacy.
The fellatio video was broadcast in the WhatsApp group without her permission, as other participants in the chat have admitted.
The victim reported the facts months later.
The emptying of the mobile phones of those involved has revealed the existence of an "organized group" of men (all are between 30 and 36 years old, and some are fathers) who, with total disregard for the dignity of women, had relations without the consent of at least two other women.
The invisible thread that unites the victims, captured on the internet and then distributed according to the sexual appetites of the group, is their condition as vulnerable people, with large doses of insecurity, who were going through a difficult moment in their lives.
The first complainant took daily medication to combat depression triggered by continued bullying.
The second was "sad and low in morale", the Mossos say in their reports, because she had just undergone a gastric bypass to lose weight, without success.
And the third suffered from a physical disability that led the members of La Manada to baptize her, contemptuously, as La Pato.
The attack on this third girl was what prompted a comment from Robert P., one of the most active members of the group, about the need to be cautious.
“Be very careful and that this does not come to light.
Try to do it less because it gives a bad image to the group.
At 20 or 25 [years] okay, yes, we had a great time, but after 30….
And more after what happened with La Manada…”.
It was a half warning, because shortly before they had laughed at what happened with La Pato in the Castelldefels den: "We have even put the DNI in him."

The girl, A., also met El Cubano on Badoo and agreed to go to a party at his apartment.
She drank a lot.
She had a hard time staying on her feet (she fell at some point), but she was aware of what was happening.
The boys left her in a thong on the sofa.
One of them (he doesn't know who) shouted: “Come on, take off your pants”.
While she was penetrated by two of them, the rest watched.
"Don't see how she can put up with how she is, you're being a champion."
The girl later recounted that she never gave her consent, that she insisted that they stop and that she shrunk her body to make penetration difficult.
Hours later, she wrote: "You have blown me up."
"Well, now you rest and don't say anything," El Cubano replied.
The chats led to another victim, S., who had contacted the boys on Instagram.
She agreed to go to one of the parties, also drank and had consensual relations with one of those involved, José Miguel M. At one point during the night, Robert appeared before her, lowered his fly and allegedly forced him to give him fellatio.
The young woman also wrote to them, hours after what happened, in a reproachful tone: “I was doing very badly, I drank a lot.
Robert behaved fatally, he puts his penis and wing on me.
I regret it a lot."
The investigators emphasize that the members of La Manada had the "custom of giving sexual diffusion of the girls" with whom they had relationships.
“They are gaining confidence and that is when they send you the dirty photos.
They send them to you because they think you are different and you are not going to roll their photos hahaha ”, writes Robert.
At another point in the group's long history of conversations, El Cubano reproaches him for not having "invited" him to go with a German woman he had met.
"It is considered that the girls are like an object at the service of the group without any will to make a decision," conclude the police reports sent to the judge.
After learning of the first complaint and finding out that they were being investigated by the Mossos, some members of La Manada, like Alejandro, "intentionally emptied their phone."
Accusations of treason were also exchanged and they conspired to maintain identical versions.
Robert was, once again, prophetic: "If someone messes up and gets nervous and doesn't tell the truth, we're all going to jail."
