The rock world mourns the death of Jeff Beck.
Revealed in the 1960s with his group The Yardbirds, the "legendary" guitarist is considered one of the most talented in the world.
Since the announcement of his death on Wednesday, tributes have been pouring in.
On social media, many of his peers spoke out, recalling that in addition to being
"the guitarists' guitarist",
Beck was an
"extraordinary human being"
.
Photos and videos accompany the touching words of the greatest rock stars and friends of the guitarist.
"It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck's passing,"
wrote the guitarist's family on Twitter.
Less than two hours later, two former members of The Yardbirds, founded in 1963, paid tribute to the memory of Jeff Beck.
Jimmy Page, founder of the Led Zeppelin group after his time with the Yardbirds, mourns the disappearance of his friend, who is now
"no longer there to allow us to admire the charms he could weave around our mortal emotions"

For Page, Jeff Beck was a

Eric Clapton, who had preceded Beck on the guitar of the Yardbirds, split a very sober and nevertheless touching:

After his success as a member of the Yardbirds, Jeff Beck created his own hard rock band: The Jeff Beck Group.
At the time, the Briton was accompanied by Ronnie Wood, Rod Stewart and Micky Waller.
On Twitter, Ronnie Wood made a point of thanking the founder of the group for their
“first days together”.

Joe Perry, founding member of Aérosmith, publishes a photo of himself alongside Jeff Beck, whom he calls the
"Salvador Dali of the guitar"
