Ten days ago, in his pharmacy in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin (Alpes-Maritimes), two men of Asian origin presented themselves at the counter.
“We would like ten boxes of Paxlovid” they ask the pharmacist, Cyril Colombani.
In their hand, ten prescriptions, probably written in Chinese, and ten copies of patient ID cards from the same country, where the number of Covid-19 cases is exploding.
“I told them that the delivery of this drug was limited to French policyholders, but they insisted.
They told me that they were ready to pay 50 euros a box”, is surprised the holder, who obviously refused and questioned them on their intentions.
Delivered only on prescription, the Paxlovid must in this case be completely free.
