According to the police in Berlin, a woman was insulted and attacked in a transphobic manner.
The 23-year-old was harassed and beaten by two men in a subway station and on the subway, the investigators said on Friday.
The trans woman was bumped into by one of the men in the Fehrbelliner Platz underground station on Thursday afternoon and got involved in an argument.
She was insulted and beaten several times in the process.
The 23-year-old fled into the incoming subway and was followed and harassed by the two men.
After the woman had alerted the police, she reportedly got off at Heidelberger Platz underground station.
There she kicked one of the men in the genital area, whereupon she was attacked again.
When witnesses intervened, the two unknown men finally fled, the police said.
The woman was taken to a hospital for her injuries.
The police state protection of the State Criminal Police Office took over the further investigations.
