'I was asked to try to be more beautiful'.
To speak is Julianne Moore, Oscar-winning actress in 2015 with 'Still Alice'.
According to Variety, citing an interview with the Times of London, Moore does not reveal the name of the person who made the request, she simply says that she is a personality from the entertainment industry.
Her response was, "I don't know if I can."
"Certainly - she underlines in the interview - ours is a sector where there is an element of physicality, but beauty and grace are subjective".
The actress, whose mother is of Scottish descent, also admitted that she sometimes dreams of being 'golden blonde' rather than carrot-skinned with a pale complexion.
"My red hair," she continues, "made me feel like an outsider.
Carrot hairs are 2% of the world's population.
No one wants to feel like they're part of a minority, especially as a kid.
Now I fully identify with my hair and freckles but there's still a part of me that wants to be golden blonde. (ANSA).
