(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, JAN 12 - Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley, has died following a heart attack.
She was just 54 years old.
Her mother Priscilla made the announcement: "It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman she has ever known".
The announcement of her death came a few hours after her emergency hospitalization.
On Tuesday night Elvis' daughter attended the Golden Globes and celebrated the best actor award to Austin Butler who played her father in Baz Luhrmann's film "Elvis".
A few days earlier, on January 8, she had celebrated at Graceland, Elvis' mansion in Memphis, Tennessee, on
anniversary of his father's birth.
