Lisa Marie Presley is dead. The only daughter of rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley died on Thursday (local time) after being rushed to a Los Angeles hospital.
Her mother, Priscilla Presley, said in a statement.
"It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the devastating news that our beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us," US media quoted Priscilla Presley as saying.
"She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known."
Priscilla Presley previously publicized her daughter's emergency response on social media and asked for the family's privacy to be respected.
According to celebrity website TMZ, Presley had suffered cardiac arrest.
The 54-year-old singer and author was revived and taken to a clinic in California.
A maid found Presley dead in her home in Calabasas, a celebrity suburb of Los Angeles, on Thursday morning.
Presley's ex-husband Danny Keough, who also lives on the property, gave Presley a cardiac massage before paramedics arrived and took the singer to the hospital.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed that a woman in her 50s was rescued shortly after 10:30 a.m. (7:30 p.m. EST) and went into cardiac arrest.
The fire department did not want to identify the woman.
Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley attended the Golden Globes Gala on Tuesday evening.
The US actor Austin Butler was honored for his title role in the film "Elvis" as the best male actor in a drama.
Lisa Marie Presley is the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley.
In the past, she made headlines with a year-and-a-half marriage to pop icon Michael Jackson and a marriage of just three months to US actor Nicolas Cage.
The quadruple divorced singer has 14-year-old twin daughters and a grown daughter, actress Riley Keough, 33. Their son Benjamin Keough died in 2020 at the age of 27.
By 2005, Lisa Marie Presley had controlled her legendary father's legacy.
Then she sold most of her shares to an investment company.
She kept Graceland, her father's home in Memphis, where Elvis Presley was found dead in August 1977.
He was then taken to the hospital, where it was determined that he had died of a heart attack.
The toxicological examination revealed a high concentration of prescription drugs in his blood.
