Singer Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley, died Thursday evening January 12 at the age of 54.
She had been rushed to hospital in the evening after a cardiac arrest, and was in intensive care in a California hospital, where she had been placed in an artificial coma on life support, according to the people site TMZ.

when her housekeeper discovered her at her home Thursday morning in Calabasas, an affluent suburb of Los Angeles.
Her ex-husband, Danny Keough, who also lives on the property, performed CPR until paramedics arrived and took her to hospital.
The unnamed sources told TMZ that the singer did not attempt suicide.
Her mother, Priscilla Presley, confirmed on Facebook that her daughter was sick.
“My beloved daughter Lisa Marie has been rushed to hospital
,” she wrote.
“She is currently receiving the best care.”
Without confirming the identity of the patient, Los Angeles firefighters told the press that their teams had taken care of a woman in her fifties who suffered a cardiac arrest shortly after 10:30 a.m.
Asked, a press officer for Lisa Marie Presley did not immediately respond to AFP.

The singer was seen with her mother on Tuesday at the Golden Globes ceremony, where Austin Butler received an award for his role in the biopic “Elvis”.
The actor, whose larger-than-life incarnation of the rock'n'roll legend has been widely acclaimed, dedicated a word to the two women during his onstage speech.
“Thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me.

,” he said.
Lisa Marie Presley is Elvis' only child.
She previously controlled Elvis Presley Enterprises, but sold most of her stake to a private equity firm in 2005. She retained control of Graceland, the Memphis, Tennessee property her father owned and where he was found unconscious in August 1977, before being taken to hospital and his death attributed to a heart attack.
His father's toxicology reports revealed high levels of drugs in the rock 'n' roll legend's system.
Lisa Marie Presley has released three albums during her career and is the mother of actor Riley Keough, who starred in 'Mad Max: Fury Road'.
Besides Danny Keough, whom she divorced in 1994, she was also married to Nicolas Cage, Michael Jackson and songwriter Michael Lockwood.
