La Scala welcomes Paolo Conte, "unique emotion"

(ANSA) - MILAN, JAN 14 - A living icon of singer-songwriter music, Paolo Conte will take the stage of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan on Sunday 19 February for an extraordinary concert, which was sold out just a few hours after going on sale.

It is the first time that he has chosen an Italian artist: a recognition of the iconic stature achieved by the chansonnier on an international level, of which he himself is aware.

"I performed - says the former lawyer - in very important theaters that I remember very well, such as the Chicago Philharmonic or the Berliner Auditorium, the great French theaters such as the Theater des Champs Elysees and the Olympia, the San Carlo Theater in Naples , however La Scala represents something unique, precisely because it is the temple of opera and Italian opera is our great artistic heritage".


   An acknowledgment of an incredible career, behind which there is no particular secret for the former lawyer: "probably - reflects the singer-songwriter from Asti - it is a matter of simple self-respecting good craftsmanship."

The live performance at the Teatro alla Scala, created in collaboration with Sugar Music, will be a tribute to the career of the voice of 'Viacon me', which will present a lineup specially designed for the occasion.


   On stage, Conte will be accompanied by an orchestral ensemble of eleven musicians: Nunzio Barbieri (Guitar and Electric Guitar), Lucio Caliendo (Oboe, Bassoon, Percussion and Keyboards), Claudio Chiara (Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, Baritone Sax, Flute, Accordion, Bass and Keyboards ), Daniele Dall'Omo (Guitars), Daniele Di Gregorio (Drums, Percussions, Marimba and Piano) Luca Enipeo (Guitars) Francesca Gosio (Cello), Massimo Pitzianti (Accordion, Bandoneon, Clarinet, Baritone Sax, Piano and Keyboards), Piergiorgio Rosso (Violin), Jino Touche (Double Bass, Electric Bass and Electric Guitar) and Luca Velotti (Soprano Sax, Tenor Sax, Alto Sax, Baritone Sax and Clarinet).

The same formation will accompany him next summer in the two concerts scheduled for June 6th at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome and July 15th at the
