(ANSA) - MILAN, 14 JAN - "The founder of right-wing thinking in Italy was Dante Alighieri: the right has culture, it just needs to affirm it".
This was stated by the Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sangiuliano interviewed by Pietro Senaldi during the Milanese FdI event, "Ready, candidates to go".
We find that vision of the human person in Dante - Sangiuliano added - but also his political construction, I think of him, is profoundly right-wing.
But I believe that we must not substitute the cultural hegemony of the left, the Gramscian one, for another hegemony, that of the right.
We must liberate culture which is such only if it is free, if it is dialectical" (ANSA).
