(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 14 - Three women and a seven-year-old girl were injured in a shooting in London near a church where a funeral was being celebrated.
The women, aged 54, 48 and 41, were hospitalized after the attack, which took place near St Aloysius R.C.
Church of Phoenix Road, in Euston in north-west London, around 1.30 pm local time, 2.30 pm Italian.
It emerges from the first police investigations that the shots were fired from a car speeding along Phoenix Street, which then fled.
No arrests have so far been made.
In a statement released by Twitter, the Camden Police reports that there is currently "a significant presence of law enforcement" in the area.
Ambulances and rescue helicopters are also on site, while several roads are closed.
The Church was evacuated and the reaction to the attack was one of "shock and surprise" among passers-by and residents.
