According to the police, the woman, together with two other women and a man, crossed the tracks on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße shortly after 2 a.m.
When the tram driver, who was traveling from Spandauer Straße in the direction of Dircksenstraße, noticed the group, he is said to have immediately initiated an emergency stop.
However, he could no longer prevent the collision with the pedestrian.

Another woman and a man suffered bruises, abrasions and a foot injury.
They were also taken to the hospital.
