A man who had been a
fugitive
for seven months was arrested by the City Police accused of
kidnapping and sexually abusing
a woman in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of
Constitución
.
The event had occurred at the beginning of June when the accused -identified as
Christian Joel Blanco Rodríguez
, a foreigner- met a woman in a bar in the City of Buenos Aires, located on O'Brien street.
After the meeting, they both withdrew to another local bar located nearby and later he went with her to her apartment, located at 1700 Santiago del Estero street.
It was upon arriving at her home that the man
forced the victim to have sexual relations
without her consent and deprived her of her freedom for the next five days.
According to sources of the cause, as a result of the abuse without a condom
the victim contracted HIV
since the man is a carrier of said disease.
During the time that the woman was held captive, Rodríguez had also forced her to
sell drugs
in the Constitución area, which he frequented.
In this sense, after the 31-year-old girl - whose identity was not revealed - was released, and once the complaint was filed, members of the City Police began an operation to find and arrest him.
The defendant had been a fugitive from Justice since then with an arrest warrant for the crimes of
"sexual abuse, minor injuries and unlawful deprivation of liberty"
.
After months of work, the investigators learned that the suspect frequented Plaza Constitución, so they made a tour of the area until they found him and arrested him at 1400 Juan de Garay avenue.
The sources indicated that the arrest was carried out by Personnel of the Captures and Fugitives Division of the City Police at the request of the National Criminal and Misdemeanor Court 61, in charge of Judge Edmundo Ribbone.

According to spokespersons, the detainee also had another arrest warrant issued by the Oral Criminal and Correctional Court 27 of Buenos Aires.

Between 2021 and 2022, the defendant was arrested for the crimes of "robbery and theft, acts committed under the modality of robbery, theft of a vehicle abandoned on public roads, in an attempt and simple theft," the sources added.
