PARIS - The exhibition with which the Petit Palais in Paris pays homage to the great actress on the centenary of her death is entitled "Sarah Bernhardt".

Set up from 14 April to 27 August, the exhibition recounts the extraordinary career of the actress, who was also the muse of many artists, through over 400 works, including the spectacular portrait painted in 1876 by the painter Georges Clairin.

About 60 masterpieces from the Capodimonte Museum collection will be featured from 7 June at the Louvre in Paris in the exhibition "Naples in Paris: the Louvre hosts the Museo di Capodimonte".

Three locations chosen in the museum: up to

until 25 September, instead, 4 drawings will be exhibited at the Salle de l'Horloge, including one by Michelangelo and one by Raphael.

LONDON - At the National Gallery in London, the exhibition "After Impressionism: Inventing Modern Art", from 25 March to 13 August, investigates the artistic revolution that took place from 1880 to the outbreak of the First World War: starting from the legacy left by the 'giants' Cézanne, van Gogh and Gauguin, the exhibition exhibits around 100 works, from Klimt and Kokoschka, Matisse and Picasso to Mondrian and Kandinsky, together with a selection of sculptures by artists such as Rodin and Camille Claudel.

Also in the London museum from 6 May to 30 July there is also a great focus on Saint Francis of Assisi: the exhibition reveals the fortune in the art of the image of the Saint, from the 13th century to today, presenting works from the museum's collection (Sassetta, Botticelli, and Zurbarán) alongside international loans with works by Caravaggio, Josefa de Óbidos,

Stanley Spencer, Antony Gormley, Giuseppe Penone, Andrea Büttner, and a new commission signed by Richard Long.

The first major exhibition dedicated to Marina Abramović at the Royal Academy of Arts: staged from 23 September to 10 December, the exhibition (on whose creation the artist worked directly) presents some of the most emblematic works created in her 50-year career, from Rhythm 0 (1974) to The Artist Is Present (2010).

MADRID - Organized in collaboration with the Städel Museum in Frankfurt, the "Guido Reni" exhibition at the Prado Museum from March 28 to July 9 investigates the painter's contribution to the art of his time and relations with Spain.

TOKYO - Around 50 of Schiele's masterpieces arrive in Japan thanks to the exhibition dedicated to the brilliant Viennese artist entitled "Egon Schiele from the collection of the Leopold Museum. Young genius in Vienna 1900" staged from January 26 to April 9 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.

Along the way, Schiele's life and art as well as the cultural context in which he found himself working are also documented through comparisons with other Viennese artists including Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka and Richard Gerstl.
