The government approved this morning (Sunday) Minister Nir Barkat's proposal to appoint attorney Amnon Merhav to the position of Director General of the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
Amnon Merhav, a lawyer for 28 years, married and the father of four children, comes with rich experience in the business and public sector and has held a series of significant management positions, including CEO of the Jerusalem Municipality, CEO of the Association of Contractors Boni Ha'aretz, ombudsman of the Municipality of Jerusalem, Yo Chairman of the Economic Society for the Development of Modi'in Ltd. and more.
Merhav, who lives in Modi'in Maccabim-Reut, holds a bachelor's degree in law and political science and a master's degree in business administration, and specializes in administrative law, civil-commercial, real estate and labor law. Merhav is married with four children and lives in Modi'in Maccabim evil.
