(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 15 - "Martina was never kicked out of the bathroom of our restaurant, she went out alone and we were all now convinced that the man had disappeared because he had already left the restaurant. Indeed, we tried to protect her. Then she too went away: the poor girl was killed about a hundred meters from our restaurant, only after being hit did she come back injured and we immediately took action to rescue her".
This is what some guys who work in the Brado restaurant in Rome reported to local traders, near which Martina Scialdone was killed by her ex last Friday.
It then reads on the restaurant's Facebook page: "Today and tomorrow we will remain closed to express the utmost sensitivity to the victim's family and friends. We would like to thank our customers who have collaborated to calm the situation and who have been able to ascertain that we have done everything possible by alerting the authorities from the very first moment. We also thank in particular one of our clients who, having medical skills, immediately attempted to resuscitate and give assistance to the girl".
The restaurant staff also specified: "we are fully available to collaborate with the police who are still carrying out the necessary investigations into the incident".
