After exciting and annoying many TV viewers in the second season of the hit series "The White Lotus", Theo James is ready to move on to his next and intriguing project: portraying the late singer George Michael in a film biography about him.

The actor, who has recently become particularly sought after in Hollywood, will step into the shoes of the musician, in a film whose investment is estimated at 104 million dollars.
Michael's family gave their blessing to the project, which comes out after the success of film biographies such as "Bohemian Rhapsody" about the band Queen, "Rocket Man" which unfolds the life story of Elton John and "Elvis" which returned to the story of the king of rock'n'roll.

According to a report by the "Daily Mail", the film is in the final stages of development and will follow the pop star who passed away six years ago, from his rise to prominence as part of the duo "Wham!", through his successful solo career, his scandals, his personal problems and his last years.
It was also reported that the singer's addiction to drugs will also be shown in the film, as well as the incident in which he was caught in a public bathroom in 1998 during a sexual act.
Michael's affair with public toilets didn't end there, and ten years later he was caught in a toilet again, this time using crack.
"This is George's story, warts included," a source said.
"The script is in the final stages and the producers are looking for a lead actor. Theo's name was mentioned by everyone. He would be perfect for portraying the role."

Although James did not respond to foreign media requests for confirmation of this, in an interview he gave to an American talk show last week he said "Oh, yes. I would love to do it. (George Michael) is an icon. He has a Greek side and I'm a little Greek too."
The actor's original name is Theodore Taftiklis, while Michael was born under the name Giorgios Kyriakos Panayiotou.
As mentioned, Michael was found dead in his home in December 2016 at the age of 53, after a heart attack.
He is considered among the most successful pop stars to come out of the UK, with sales of more than 120 million records worldwide, and one of the greatest music icons of all time.
