Around 60 people who live in the vicinity of the Chubut town of El Hoyo were evacuated as a result of the forest fire that started this Sunday on the Currumahuida hill and threatens to spread to the urbanized areas of the Cordillera.
It is estimated that 105 brigade members are fighting the incident, of which 33 are volunteer firefighters.
The operation is completed with three hydrant planes, a helicopter and 10 trucks.
This Monday, a Chinnok helicopter capable of transporting up to 10,000 liters of water will arrive in the sector from Bariloche.
The authorities have not yet reported the number of hectares compromised, but some neighbors estimate that they are "thousands."

The fire is fought by the Chubut Provincial Fire Management Service, Volunteer Firefighters, the National Brigade of the National Fire Management Service and the Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting Service (Splif) of El Bolsón.
The residents who live in rural areas, in the radius of the Currumahuida hill, and who have not yet suffered the direct advance of the flames, have already irrigated their patios to prevent to some extent the heating of their properties built on wood.
Meanwhile, some 60 people, many from the El Sauzal neighborhood, were taken to School 223 since their houses are located in the line of progress of the llamas.

Civil Defense reported that the neighborhoods known as El Pinar, La Zeta and El Desemboque remain on "yellow alert" and could also be evacuated.
"The fire is active throughout its perimeter and the fire is practically on top of many of the houses," the director of the Provincial Fire Management Service, Abel Nievas, told the local media.

Romera points to forestry operations that are not supervised by the State and leave a large amount of waste due to their activity.
