You can not only fertilize your bed with eggshells, they are also suitable for growing microgreens such as cress.
Microgreens are very trendy at the moment because the young seedlings are healthy and usually grow very quickly.
But did you know that you can also grow cress in eggshells?

Integrating enough vegetables into the diet is sometimes not that easy.
You can make cress tasty, especially for children, if it is cut from funny eggshells.
Cress is healthy because it contains vitamin C and iron.

homemade, this is what you need for cress eggs:
Cleaned eggshells
cotton/cotton pads
cress seed
water

Take the cleaned egg without the lid and line the bottom with either a cotton pad or some cotton wool.
Place the cress seeds on top so that they are evenly distributed.
Water the seeds with some water (the seeds should not float) and keep the seeds moist for the next few days.
The seeds germinate within the first 12 hours and you can harvest the first cress after about five to six days.

The cress eggs are a nice DIY project to place on the windowsill all year round.
But of course they are also great for Easter if you paint them brightly and decorate them with moss and other Easter eggs.
