INTERVIEW – After being personally affected by the disease last year, the chairman of the management board of the communication group is launching a global initiative in Davos to raise awareness among companies.


On the occasion of the Davos Economic Forum, Publicis Groupe is launching this Tuesday a major global initiative

“Working with Cancer”

to unite companies in the fight against cancer.

- You were personally touched by cancer last year.

Did going through this ordeal inspire you?

It was by making my cancer public that I opened my eyes to a reality that I was unaware of: half of the people affected by this disease are afraid to talk about it to their employer.

As head of a group listed on the CAC40, I felt compelled to reveal my cancer, in a duty of transparency vis-à-vis Publicis employees, our clients and shareholders.
