(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 17 - Agreement almost reached on the 10 lay members to be sent to the CSM.
In the evening and in the early hours of this morning, within the majority and between the majority and the opposition, it seems that the last knots have been resolved.
The proportion, according to what is learned, should be confirmed: 7 for the centre-right and 3 for the opposition.
The parliamentarians of the majority have all been summoned to come and vote at Montecitorio at 4 pm, when Parliament in joint session will have to express itself on the package of 10 members to be sent to the Superior Council of the Judiciary.
The only unknown factor at the moment seems to be that of the female candidacy which, even if it is identified, as required by the law that seeks to protect gender equality, may not be voted on.
In the morning all the MPs of the Democratic Party met in the Chamber to take stock and it seems that the name of the constitutionalist Roberto Romboli has been mentioned as a candidate for the Dems. As for the center-right, Giuseppe Valentino and Enrico Aimi seem to be confirmed.
