Swedish activist Greta Thunberg has been detained after a protest against a coal mine in Germany.
She informs the German police.
Greta was today among the demonstrators taken away by the police near the lignite mine of Garzweiler, in Germany, a few kilometers from the village of Luetzerath, where there have been clashes between ecologists and the police for days.
The police, according to reports from the ZDF, confirmed that Thunberg and others were transported from the mine site and then arrested.
A dpa photographer noted that Thunberg was taken away by three police officers and then subjected to a check.
