About a year and a half after the municipality of Herzliya asked to cancel the winning of the entrepreneurial companies Y.H. Demari and NBS in the tender to establish an urban renewal project in the Yad Hastisha neighborhood in Herzliya - the municipality announced this week that it has withdrawn from canceling the agreement, and the companies Demari and NBS will return to promote the huge evacuation-construction project In the scope of thousands of housing units.
In a letter sent to the residents of the neighborhood, the municipality announced that as part of a compromise agreement reached through a mediation process, the companies will continue to promote the project.
Also, after the municipality won a call from the Urban Renewal Authority, it will promote the planning of the neighborhood and will work for a quick and efficient promotion of a detailed plan - thus shortening the schedules and preventing further disturbances.
The companies Demari and NBS were selected in January 2016 - after they submitted nominations through a call for entrepreneurs published by the municipality of Herzliya for the planning and implementation of an urban renewal project in the Yad HaTisha neighborhood (Shabiv) in the northeast of the city, as part of which an agreement was signed between the companies and the municipality.

In April 2021, the municipality informed the companies of the cancellation of the agreement, and as a result, the companies turned to the courts and during the last year and a half conducted a mediation process accompanied by their lawyers.
The Yad HaTisha neighborhood is located in the northeast of the city, and borders on road 531 that separates Herzliya from Ra'anana.
Today there are about 1,400 households in the neighborhood.
For years, the owners of the apartments in the neighborhood tried to promote eviction and construction in the place, but the attempts were unsuccessful due to various reasons.
The companies stated:
"We are happy with the result of the mediation process with the municipality of Herzliya, in which it was decided that we will continue to promote the plan for the construction of thousands of new housing units, in cooperation with the municipality and the governmental authority for urban renewal. Demari and NBS companies have extensive and proven experience in the construction and delivery of tens of thousands housing units all over the country. We continue to sign tenants in the complex, in order to promote the establishment of a modern and high-quality residential neighborhood for the well-being of the residents."
