Scrolling through the Insta feed these days provides a generous dose of fashion inspiration, and alerts you to new trends or innovative interpretations of prominent trends, all as worn and seen on the network's stars and anchors.

The beginning of such a trend that has caught our attention in recent days is: items of clothing in hot red leather, and we expect that the trend will soon spill over to the fast fashion chains and then also to the street, i.e.: to our wardrobe.

When you say "leather jacket", the image that immediately comes to mind is a classic and timeless black leather jacket.

But this winter it seems that the black skin will give way to color.

And what a color!

Sign up Sign up: a new color conquers the leather clothing genre and its name: red for its shades, and not only in jackets that end at the waistline.

There are also skirts, a midi-length coat with a double pleat and bold mini dresses, which were once considered a fashionable big no no, but in the current interpretations sponsored by the world's largest fashion houses are being re-validated.

At the end of the day, these are items that may "take over" and even echo an outdated or cheap style, mercifully.

Therefore, the first thing to make sure is the fit - the cut should fit you well.

And no less importantly, the garment should fit into your personal style and not look too "costumey".

But in this particular case, all exaggeration is fine - so don't hesitate to go for a total look in red skin, just make sure it's accurate.

Margot Robbie makes it extra chic in a red Bottega Veneta leather suit.

The secret is in the styling that makes it a little lighter

The color red has the ability to be powerful, playful and seductive - and one who knows is Margot Robbie!

The 32-year-old actress was seen wearing not one, but two head-to-toe red looks that night.

For the press conference on the occasion of the premiere of her latest film "Babylon", which took place in London this weekend, Ruby wore a red leather suit by Bottega Veneta from the Fall-Winter 2022 collection, which included: an oversized double-breasted coat combined with matching trousers with a cropped hem.

To lighten the performance and make it look more voluminous, and rightly so, stylist Kate Young chose for her star a basic brown t-shirt with a round key, and brown Monstra platform boots.

Later that evening, Ruby continued the crimson motif when she wound up at the premiere of her movie Babylon in a red Valentino cape dress inspired by Old Hollywood and featuring a plunging back.

When she looks this good, it's no wonder red is Ruby's new favorite shade!

No wonder she adopted the color red!

Beautiful Canadian actress and rising star Taylor Russell, 28, took the red carpet by storm at the 2022 BAFTA Tea Party, and she did it in a red sizzling ensemble no less!

Russell wore Alexander McQueen from head to toe;

An edgy red leather jacket in the "biker" style that got a more feminine upgrade thanks to the peplum silhouette at the bottom, combined with a gorgeous midi skirt with a bold geometric leg slit, and there's also a zipper.

To complete this hysterical performance, Russell clutched a "hobo" mini bag and "punk" heeled sandals, both red and both of course from the same avant-garde fashion house that is one of the most desirable in the world.

To promote her film "Glass Shadow: Knives Out," Janelle Monae appeared on Jimmy Kimmel in a crazy red Oscar de la Renta outfit.

The 37-year-old actress went punk-glam all the way in a leather minidress from the Spring 2023 collection, which boasted dramatic puffy sleeves that ended in—and, by the way, removable—gloves.

To complete the fire-red look, stylist Alexandra Mendelkorn chose for the star stilettos made of red vinyl with a pointy toe.

For those who feel that it is a little (a lot) too match for her to adopt red leather clothes in her winter wardrobe, you can always experiment first with just an accessory, and a bag is a great place to start!

Alexander McQueen models: a hot red bag combined with a restrained black appearance, and the result?

Wow!
