(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 17 - "Companies in the telecommunications sector are under great pressure, which is why we are verifying the delicate but important issue of reducing VAT with the Ministry of Economy. According to the estimates of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the transition from 22% to 10% would cost around 553 million euros, which would reach 784 million by reducing the rate to 5%".
This was stated by the Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, in a hearing in the Senate on the programmatic guidelines in the communications sector, adding that he is also working with the Mef "to find the necessary coverage".
