The works for the demolition of the mythical water park of Tiberias - Haluna-Gal have begun.
The Dogal company, which is partnered with the Amram Avraham company and the Shai Hai holding company, will build a resort in Kinneret on an area of 60 dunams with a luxury hotel that will be managed by the Kerem company that manages the Gordonia hotels.
The hotel will include 150 rooms with a private pool and jacuzzi in each room, a chef's restaurant and a water sports center.
Construction work will begin in the coming months.
The land was purchased about 3 years ago.
The hotel planned to be built will include two completely separated wings: a wing for families that will include 75 rooms and a wing for couples that will include an additional 75 rooms.
Each wing will have a separate entrance lobby and dining room, along with other luxury facilities including a chef's restaurant, a pool, a spa complex and treatments and a gym.
In addition, the hotel will include a hall for hosting conferences and events, a water sports complex and an attraction complex that will be open to hotel guests and the public.

The new Gordonia Kinneret?
The hotel's proximity to national sites, including the Kinneret Circuit Trail and a beach open to the public, will allow the hotel to continue to maintain these sites at a high level and keep them open for the enjoyment of all travelers and vacationers.
The hotel and restaurant will be managed by the Kerem Hotels company, which manages luxury hotels and operates boutique hotels, including the Gordonia Hotel in Ma'aleh Hamishme and the Alma Hotel in Zichron Ya'akov.
The hotel was designed by Feigin Architects, one of the leading architecture firms in Israel, which has designed over 100 hotels and will include a combination of natural local materials such as basalt stones and motifs from the Sea of Galilee.
The interior design of the hotel will be done by the designers Ari Sheltiel and Ruth Arad.

About a quarter of a million people per season in the water park
The mythical Luna-Gal Park on the Golan coast, on the northeastern side of the Sea of Galilee, operated for about four decades and was closed about two years ago, after standing desolate for a long time.
In its peak days, it hosted over a quarter of a million vacationers per season.
