   Extraordinary

Dorothea Wierer

, winner of the inaugural women's sprint of the stage of

the World Cup

hosted in

Anterselva

.

In one of the best performances of the season, the South Tyrolean showed her class with a test of precision and courage to celebrate her first success of the season.

Second position for the French Chevalier-Bouchet, who arrived at 2"8 without shooting errors and third position for Elvia Oeberg at 8"7, again without errors.

Lisa Vittozzi finished in thirteenth position

: the sappadina ran into two errors at the first polygon, also due to the strong wind, however showing great mental strength to reopen the race, without giving up, until placing the paw with the fifth total time on skis, combined with a second fast and classy polygon.

Further back the other Italians: Samuela Comola is 25th, an error at 1'21"0, Hannah Auchentaller 42nd with 2 errors at 1'45"7 and Rebecca Passler 54th with 3 errors at 2'14"1. All our representatives however they managed to detach the pass for the chase on Saturday 21st, at 13.00.

"I'm very happy for today, I didn't think it would go so well - Wierer's words - I didn't feel so good on skis, my legs were heavy and I didn't have a super sensation. In the end, the important thing was the polygon, where I worked good with the double zero, but I was very worried because, at the beginning of the race, the wind made me a bit anxious. Given the difficulty, I tried to control every shot and I'm very happy. Surely winning at home is always better. with friends and my family. Memories of the past years come back to me and it's very nice. I didn't think I'd win in the end because Chevalier is very strong on skis, but today we only take the positive things."
