The Financiers of the Provincial Command of the Capital have executed a preventive seizure decree aimed at the confiscation, also "for equivalent", of assets for a value exceeding 20 million euros, equal to the tax evaded deriving from the crime of unfaithful tax declaration, disputed to 3 people.

The provision concerns the top management of the University of Niccolò Cusano Telematica Rome.

The deed was issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Capitoline Court "in order to ensure the profit of the disputed tax crime, against undeclared revenues of over 80 million euros".

The investigations, carried out by the Economic-Financial Police Unit of Rome, revealed that the university institution "would have abused the income tax exemption regime envisaged for such taxpayers. It has been ascertained - explains a note - that the University would , in fact, carried out commercial activities mainly with respect to the institutional activity, investing around 80% of its assets in commercial companies active in various sectors, from real estate trading to food packaging, from charter air transport to the management of wellness centers ".

Among the various investments made, the University purchased, for purposes not instrumental to university education, "a helicopter and 4 luxury cars (two of which are subject to the seizure order). For the same reasons, the institution also acquired the management of a football club (the latter not subject to the precautionary measure issued by the Judicial Authority)" and the entrepreneur's personal expenses of around 1.9 million euros would also have been charged to the University, mainly consisting of airline tickets , stays in hotels for reasons unrelated to the institutional activity or to follow the away matches of the controlled football team".
