The Ministry of the Economy and Finance has sent to the Prime Minister's Office, for the purposes of inclusion in the agenda of the CDM,
the proposal for the appointment of the general managers of the Treasury departments (Riccardo Barbieri), in place of Alessandro Rivera, Accounting (Biagio Mazzotta) and General Administration of Personnel and Services (Ilaria Antonini).

Riccardo Barbieri Hermitte, chosen by the Ministry of the Economy to take Alessandro Rivera's place at the general directorate of the Treasury, was born in Rome on 25 April 1958 and is already at the Mef as head of the Economic and Financial Analysis Department of the Treasury Department.
He is an economist and market strategist with twenty-five years of experience in the financial markets, where he has worked for some of the major investment banks, such as JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America-Merrill Lynch.
He was the head of the Independent Research Department and Chief Economist at Mizuho International, the London branch of the Japanese investment bank Mizuho Securities.
Raised in Milan, where he graduated with honors in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi, he spent five years in the USA, earning a Ph.D.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance will present a proposal for the reform of the organizational model with the aim of ensuring the achievement of the important objectives assigned primarily at European and international level through a different articulation of the departmental structure.
