The Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Al-Tabbaa, stressed the importance of the virtual school experience in terms of providing education for all and strengthening the connection of Syrians living abroad, by enabling them to study the Syrian educational curriculum and obtain the Syrian certificate in their place of residence.
During his meeting today with a number of principals of virtual schools, Dr. Al-Tabbaa discussed the reality of education in these schools and proposals for its development, pointing to the need to follow up the spatial licensing procedures for schools that have been temporarily licensed and activate educational supervision, through the appointment of a mentor by the governorates' education directorates for each virtual school.
Minister Al-Tabbaa stressed the need to adhere to teaching the modern curriculum for students of general certificates studying in virtual schools, and to inform the ministry well in advance in the event of a request to open a new examination center for any virtual school in a country, to inform diplomatic missions of this to take appropriate measures.
A number of virtual school principals gave a presentation about their schools in terms of the number of students enrolled, the distance education mechanism, and the difficulties they face, indicating that the education directorates will be provided with a complete database on everything related to the education mechanism and the tests that these schools follow.
