Legendary musician David Crosby has passed away at the age of 81. He founded two unforgettable rock groups in the 1960s: The Byrds and Crosby and Stills and Nash (which later became Stills, Nash and Young).
His wife wrote a message to Variety magazine: "With great sadness after a long illness, we announce that our beloved David ("Cross") Crosby has passed away."
"He was surrounded by love by his wife and soulmate Jen and his son Django. Although he is no longer with us, his humanity and gentle soul will continue to comfort and guide us. His legacy will live on through his legendary music."
