Former European Parliament Vice-President Eva Kaili was subjected to a condition of torture in prison last week.
This was reported by the two lawyers of Greek politics, Mihalis Dimitrakopoulos and André Risopoulos, at the end of the hearing on the review of the pre-trial detention.
"We have once again asked for Eva Kaili's release with alternative measures such as an electronic bracelet or other types of similar measures", they added, underlining that Kaili "is innocent" and "has had no collaboration with Pier Antonio Panzeri".
"For now, Mrs. Kaili is the only politician to be detained. She is being held in difficult conditions and this is extremely worrying", underlined Risopoulos, underlining that the Greek politician "must not become the person who pays the highest price" with "detention lasts, since she is certainly not at the center of the investigation. This is unbearable".
And he added that in 6 weeks in prison he was only able to see her daughter twice.
