Madonna's Toughest Battle?
Being a mother.
She revealed it herself in an interview with Vanity Fair for the special issue 'Icon Issue', which dedicated her cover to her.
"Even today - she explains - I struggle to understand the job of a mother and how to do it. It doesn't matter who you are, having children and raising them is a feat".
The pop star is the mother of six children, Lourdes, Rocco, David, Chifundo 'Mercy,' and adopted twins Estere and Stella.
They are between 26 and ten years old.
"Nobody gives you a manual - he continues -. You have to learn from your mistakes, it's a profession that takes a long time, it's exhausting because you never rest".
However she also admits that growing up with a mother like her is challenging.
She also feels satisfied that her children have shaped their own path with their creativity without her pushing in one particular direction.
"I have never pushed - he explains - my daughter to make music or my son Rocco to paint. But I have always exposed them to art, to music and I am happy that they have found a way to express themselves".
He also stressed that he admires them and what they do.
It is also his children who have contributed to the greater happiness in his life.
