It's hard to compete with this passionate fan:

to praise the star of the World Cup, an Argentinian farmer "grew" in his corn field an enormous picture of Lionel Messi, covering half a million square meters.

The Daily Star reports that this massive image is even visible from space.

The farmer, Maximiliano Spinaza, used an algorithm that calculated exactly where the seeds should be planted in his field, located in the center of the Córdoba province in Argentina.

The result is, as mentioned, a huge picture of Messi, with a beard adorning his face.

According to Spinaje, this amazing gesture is done thanks to the fact that Messi led the Argentina national team to the famous victory over France in the World Cup held in Qatar.

The South American country, for which football is an integral part of its being, is also a major producer in the agricultural sector and the world's third largest exporter of corn.

In this case, the two important export "branches" of the country were united into one creation.

"Agricultural Art"

Carlos Paricelli, an agricultural engineer, designed the coding that fed into the machines that sowed the seeds in a precise pattern to create the final image, with some areas denser with seeds than others.

"I had the idea to create a code by which the seeds that would germinate would create Messi's face as a tribute," he said, adding that he then made the code available to "any farmer who dares to plant it."

Using location-based coding tools, the machines "know" how many seeds are needed per square meter in the different areas of the field, to create the contrast that characterizes the human face (in this case, Messi's face).

When the corn grows and you photograph it from the air, you can see the details from above.

Another tribute to Messi

Of course, this farmer is not the only fan who has shown his boundless love for Lionel Messi.

For example, a die-hard soccer fan shaved the Argentinian captain's face on the back of his neck, in what appears to be an incredibly accurate "hair tattoo."

There are even those who actually have Messi's name tattooed on their foreheads.

However, that fan's enthusiasm faded pretty quickly, and he later said that he regretted his actions.

Still, a cornfield in the form of Messi is a much more reversible affair than a tattoo.
