The second man on the moon has married for the fourth time at the age of 93.
Retired astronaut Buzz Aldrin tweeted that he got married in Los Angeles on Friday, his birthday.
He is pleased to "announce that my long-time love Dr.
Anca Faur and I tied the knot in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles," Aldrin wrote.
The bride and groom are as excited "like runaway teenagers."
He also attached two photos to the post showing him and the bride, a 63-year-old project manager, at the ceremony.
Aldrin achieved world fame when he carried out the first successful moon landing in 1969 as part of the Apollo 11 mission together with Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins.
At that time, Aldrin was the second person to set foot on the moon.
Because Neil Armstrong was assigned the task of photographically documenting the mission at the time, one of the most famous photos of an astronaut on the lunar surface shows the now 93-year-old.
In the summer of 2022, Aldrin had 68 items from his property auctioned off by the Sotheby's auction house in New York.
One bidder paid $2.77 million just for the jacket he wore during flights to and from the moon in 1969.
The total proceeds from the auction were $8.2 million.
Buzz Aldrin has three children from his first marriage to Joan Archer.
The couple married in 1954 when Aldrin was 24 years old.
The couple divorced in 1972, a year after Aldrin left the US space agency Nasa.
His second marriage to Beverly Van Zile lasted only three years and ended in divorce in 1978.
He has been married to his third wife, Lois Driggs Cannon, for the longest time. The marriage, concluded in 1988, ended in divorce in 2011.
Aldrin was 81 at the time.
