The Ministry of Education confirmed that work in the second semester of the current academic year 2022-2023 begins tomorrow morning, and that there is no truth to the news circulating about extending the midterm vacation.
The ministry said in a statement, of which SANA received a copy: “Tomorrow, the calendar plan for the academic year 2022 will complete the calendar for the academic year 2022-2023, so that the second semester begins on the morning of Sunday, January 22, 2023, until Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in all schools and kindergartens.” public and private children in the governorates,” noting that the news circulating on social media pages about extending the remedial holiday is untrue.
The statement indicated that the beginning of the transitional exams will be on the 17th of May 2023 until the 25th of it, while the exams for basic and secondary education certificates in all its branches will start on Monday the 29th of May 2023, to complete the days of the second semester, which consist of 83 days.
The Ministry stressed the need for everyone to adhere to the approved calendar in accordance with international standards that control the educational process, indicating that education directors have all the powers to deal with individual cases in areas covered by snow or where roads are cut off, according to each case.
