Today, the Excellence and Creativity Authority honored the winners of the Syrian Science Olympiad for the year 2023, who will join the national teams of the Olympiad in the specializations of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and informatics, at Dar Al-Assad Theater for Culture and Arts in Damascus.
Gold medals were awarded to the winners of positions from (1 to 3), silver medals to the winners of positions from (4 to 8), and bronze medals to the winners of positions from (9 to 15), while certificates of appreciation were distributed to the rest of the participants from outside the teams, according to the estimates of the scientific committees.
Gold medals were won in the field of mathematics by students Mahmoud Muhammad Barbasht and Mahmoud Muhannad Muhammad Asad from Aleppo and Aziz Thaer Hanna from Homs, and in the field of physics each of Abdul Hadi Shamashan from the countryside of Damascus and Massa Firas Sawan from Aleppo and Sally Qais Hussein from Homs, and in the specialty of chemistry each From Ibrahim Madian Khazim from Lattakia, Zainab Hassan Ranjus from Damascus, and Amr Adel Al-Barouki from Homs.
In the field of biology, students Zain Wael Azar Al-Zahr from Damascus countryside, Roni Muhammad Bayram from Aleppo, and Abdullah Muhammad Ibrahim from Damascus won gold medals. In the field of informatics, students Karim Kamal Youssef from Tartous, Shar Ammar Joukdar from Damascus countryside, and Muhammad Dib Ahmed Al-Saleh from Latakia and Anas Muhammad Abi al-Fotouh from Damascus.
Yesterday, the final qualifiers for the Syrian Science Olympiad 2023 were concluded, in which 281 male and female students from different governorates participated.
