(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, JAN 21 - 'Flowers' by Miley Cyrus broke the Spotify record for the most streamed song in a week.
Billboard reports it.
"Thank you so much to Spotify and my amazing fans," the former 'Hannah Montana' star wrote on her Instagram and Twitter accounts after the platform broke the news of 101.838.799 million streams from Jan. 12-19.
The upcoming album's single 'Endless Summer Vacation' has topped all charts from Australia to the UK and is one of the most used tracks for stories and reels on Instagram and Tiktok.
The song also received acclaim from Gloria Gaynor.
"I'm in Nashville working on new music and just heard 'Flowers', a song that encourages everyone to find the strength within themselves to persevere and thrive. Cheers Miley!" the disco icon tweeted.
Previous record holders on Spotify were Korean Bts with 'Butter' which had 99.37 million streams in its first week.
