Bridal trends: light and sophisticated dresses, yes to colors and accessories that enhance the contemporary bridal look.
The fairytale wedding?
It never goes out of fashion, but for brides 2023 the watchwords are
lightness and fun.
From 20 to 22 January, wedding trends are on the catwalk at the Prati Bus District in Rome with a new appointment of the International Bridal Show, "RomaSposa" which for the new January edition becomes "Urban".
The look requested and proposed by the major ateliers is
more contemporary and fun
, a set to be obtained with light clothes and the use of colors and accessories.
Whether slipped, with transparent lace details, or structured with a regal and sober line, the trend is for the queen of weddings to wear a dress that feels like a second skin.
Great attention is paid to the quality of
fabrics in natural fibers, such as silk and cotton
, embellished with delicate Italian and French lace and elegant hand embroidery in glass and crystal.
For fun, make
room for color
, which next to white brings to the catwalk wedding dresses in brilliant shades of pink, cinnamon or even fuchsia, with colorful tulle, organza and chiffon to great effect.
There is also a great desire to play with objects borrowed from everyday life: such as accessories which, alongside the dress, are becoming increasingly important in choosing the bridal look or vintage objects which bring a taste of family and experience to the wedding day.
More and more brides are choosing dresses with simple and light lines which, while maintaining the romantic and vintage flavor,
are current and "metropolitan"
thanks to the addition of accessories, which from the everyday look become precious and sparkling for the bride: wide therefore with headbands (from the classic ones covered in satin and studded with diamonds to the more modern and whimsical with a rounded appearance), maxi earrings, belts , hats, hairpins and large precious clips, bows of various sizes and feathers.
There is no shortage
of flowers, increasingly present from the dress to the hairstyle
, with a three-dimensionality that conquers even the veil, then the tiaras, in fabric or jewels, embellish even the simplest looks.
The impeccable cuts of the new collections represent a reason for
exalting the waistline which, together with necklines, transparencies and hems
it takes part in a general balance that never leads to exaggeration.
For the ethereal and dreamy bride, dresses with
milky transparencies are perfect, made with layers of light tulle, illuminated by precious applications and fabrics veined with shimmering fibers,
in every shape and style.
Always present lace and lace inlays that enhance the silhouette, while pure silk satin and georgette, soft cotton tulle and very delicate pleats “rebel” against structured dresses, creating a common thread between linearity and sophistication.
The scenographic effect is not given only by excess, even the essentiality of the bride can surprise and amaze on her wedding day, obtaining a very elegant and refined result: therefore, also to
simple wedding dresses, cleaned of redundancies, with mini or midi hems
, not only for civil ceremonies but also for religious ceremonies, to be worn again even after the fateful “yes”.
More and more proposed and requested are
the dual-dress dresses, 2-in-1 transformable models able to change in a very short time:
the second (and in some cases also the third) look surprises the guests and allows the bride to gain some comfort to kick off the celebrations.
To transform, just remove a skirt or play with removable sleeves, capes and shoulder pads.
Like the dress (or the trouser suit, which never went out of fashion), the bride's hairstyle also tends to change between the ceremony and the party: from collected or semi- collected hair - preferably in a simple and natural way that leaves the face uncovered, like a ponytail or a chignon – by removing a few hairpins, you switch to a more casual and less formal, dance-proof look.
Attention to the sustainability of marriage
also remains high
and many ateliers offer them
the included tailoring service to be able to arrange the dress after the wedding
and to be worn again.
Playing with new accessories.
