Two men pretended to be dead while fleeing a police check in Erfurt – but the officials were not fooled by them.
First, the two fled in their car when they were supposed to stop at a routine traffic check on Sunday morning.
Shortly thereafter, the police discovered the car – it was locked from the inside, the two men were lying on their stomachs in the back and would have played dead, the police in Erfurt said.
Only after several threats to break open the car by force did the men give themselves up.
The two 42-year-olds were under the influence of drugs, neither of them had a driver's license.
Both denied driving the car.
They were taken to the police station and received various reports – they then had to walk home.
