Orange alert for bad weather in Emilia Romagna and Marche

(ANSA) - ROME, 22 JAN - The Civil Protection, on the basis of the expected phenomena, has evaluated an orange alert for tomorrow on sectors of Emilia Romagna and Marche.

Also assessed yellow alert on Abruzzo, Molise and on sectors of Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Umbria, Campania and Basilicata.


    In particular, the perturbation that is affecting Italy will continue in the next few hours to bring severe bad weather conditions with rainfall, including snow at low altitudes in the central-northern area and sustained north-north-eastern ventilation in the central-northern Adriatic areas.


    From the early hours of tomorrow, the warning forecasts scattered snowfalls above 200-400 meters in Emilia Romagna, Veneto, south-western Lombardy and southern Piedmont, with temporary local trespassing at flat altitudes and, above 300-500 meters, on Tuscany, Umbria and Marche, with contributions to the soil moderate, up to abundant at higher altitudes.


    Scattered precipitations, also of a downpour or thunderstorm nature, are forecast in Emilia Romagna, Marche with the persistence of the same in Campania;

strong north-eastern winds or storms, with strong storm gusts, on the coastal sectors of Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia and their persistence, with strong storm gusts, especially close to the coastal sectors, on Emilia-Romagna and Marche.
