Three young people
drowned
in a watercourse in the Mendoza town of San Martín, east of the provincial capital.
The event occurred minutes before 12 when a call to 911 alerted that three young people who were bathing in a canal located on Carril Norte and Callejón Esperanza had entered the water, but had not returned.
Upon arriving at the scene, police officers began to search and found the bodies that had been dragged two kilometers, the sources added.
There the uniformed men managed to get one of the bodies out of the canal, while the other two were rescued from inside the channel by the neighbors.
CPR maneuvers were performed, with negative results, the sources indicated.
An ambulance from the Coordinated Emergency Service (SEC) arrived at the scene and the doctor in charge verified the death of the victims.

Emilce Johana González (19), Marcos Antonio González (18) and Nicolás Zarandon Sequione (23)
.
Meanwhile, according to a police report, no signs of violence were observed on the bodies, only the blows as a result of being dragged.
The Fiscal Office of the 12th Police Station is involved in the investigation.
The death of a tourist in Córdoba
Less than two weeks ago, in the middle of a summer season full of visitors, a tragedy shocked the residents of Traslasierra.
A 43-year-old tourist from San Luis drowned in a river in the Cordoba town of Nono.
The event occurred in the Posta del Remanso spa, which has a coast on the Río Chico.
As the victim's partner told the police, the man went swimming and after a while did not surface.
Desperate, he began to call for help.
As reported by La Voz, the municipal lifeguards who were on the scene summoned police personnel and rescuers from the Department of High-Risk Units (DUAR) and the Technical Team for Catastrophe Action (ETAC).
The notice came around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
It was the police who found the sunken man at a depth of about three meters and dragged him to the surface.
There the emergency personnel tried to revive him with CPR, but the tourist no longer had vital signs and did not respond to attempts to save him.
