The strike is scheduled to begin tomorrow at 07:00 am and will continue until 7:00 am on Tuesday.
The strike will include the general, geriatric, psychiatric and rehabilitation hospitals throughout the country as well as outpatient clinics.
"We are going through a complex and dangerous period in which violence against medical teams has become a daily phenomenon that significantly harms the health system and its employees," it said.

"The Ministry of Health strongly condemns this violence and is working and will continue to work continuously to stop this intolerable reality. It is your right, as those who work with great dedication and stand at the forefront of action, to work in a protected and safe environment and it is our duty to ensure this," wrote CEO Bar Siman Tov and Deputy CEO Mandelovich .
Saturday format
On the day of the strike, the hospitals will work in a Shabbat and holiday format, that is, in an emergency treatment format: including urgent dialysis services, intensive care, emergency rooms, delivery rooms, prematurity and oncology treatments - this is also how they will operate during the strike.

A local Exceptions Committee will be established which consists of the director of the anesthesia department (or his representative) who will function as the chairman of the committee, a representative of the operating rooms as well as a representative of the committee. In addition, a higher Exceptions Committee will be established which will serve as an appeals court for the local committee and as an advisory body in cases where the local committee does not reach a decision.
Among other things, the provision of IVF treatments will be examined individually by the Exceptions Committee, which will discuss each case individually.
Unless otherwise decided by the Exceptions Committee, these will be disabled.
Other actions that we have updated on are a budget of NIS 14 million that was transferred to the health funds in 2023, the purpose of which is to place security guards in large clinics and the establishment of mounted units that arrive at the clinics after using the emergency button.
We also updated that the budget for security guards at mental health hospitals has been doubled.
Also, the possibility of filing a complaint by the hospital's security officer and not by the staff member himself was approved.
