In the last week (13-19 January) Covid hospitalizations in intensive care decreased (-83 equal to -26.8%), deaths, 495 against 576 of the previous week (-14.1%) and ordinary hospitalizations (-22.1% equal to -1,418 patients with symptoms).
The infections continue to drop, marking -38.3% "equal to the percentage of the previous week: from 84 thousand to 52 thousand, with a 7-day moving average above 7 thousand cases per day".
The decline in new cases affects all regions.
This is what emerges in the independent monitoring of the Gimbe Foundation.
In no province does the incidence exceed 500 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
As of January 21, 410,306 fifth doses (on average 3,222 per day) were administered, an increase compared to 2,930 last week (+10%) with a national coverage rate of 13% on an audience of 3.1 million people.
The regional differences are clear: from 4.3% in Campania to 25.6% in Piedmont.
These are the first coverage data for the third booster (fifth dose) reported by the Gimbe Foundation in the weekly independent monitoring.
The fourth dose trudges: 11.8 million frail and over 60s without coverage.
"The Minister of Health Schillaci update all the data on the vaccination campaign," asks Gimbe.
