The haute couture week opened this morning (23/01) in Paris with the wild collection of the Schiaparelli fashion house for spring-summer 2023, and from the moment that the reality star and mother of two, Kylie Jenner, arrived at the show - the network is abuzz.

The young entrepreneur arrived at the Schiaparelli show in Paris in a black velvet strapless dress decorated with the head of a life-sized lion, no less, and gave a glimpse of the psychedelic show (there's simply no other word) that took its place on the runway a few moments later.

The fake lion head with the manicured mane, which looks super realistic in a rather disturbing way, literally covered the top half of the actress' body.

She finished off the crazy look with black heels finished with golden pointed toes from the Italian (originally) and French (currently) fashion house.

Moments after taking her seat, Jenner's surreal lion look was seen on the runway again, this time on supermodel Irina Shayk, alongside a host of other animal ensembles.

And it must be heavy!

According to Daniel Rosebery, the creative director of the Schiaparelli fashion house, the collection was inspired by Dante's allegory "The Inferno of the Nine Circles of Hell" - a metaphor for the doubt and creative torment that all artists experience, when it (the collection) actually refers to three animals that appear in the poet and philosopher's poem from the 20th century 14 - The tiger, the lion and the wolf, which represent (in order) lust, pride and avarice in the same iconic allegory.

According to Roseberry, "if the clothes evoke fear then they are doing their job".

Naomi Campbell took to the runway in a dramatic black faux fur coat with a wolf's head emerging from her left shoulder, while Canadian model Shalom Harlow wore a strapless camisole print dress and a roaring white snow leopard head that burst through the chest.

The head-turning pieces (at times disturbing-somewhat) were prepared by hand - sculpted foam, resin, wool and artificial fur silk - which were made by hand to show life as much as possible.

And maybe they really looked too "alive"?

And is everything legitimate in the name of "couture"?

It turns out that according to Schiaparelli.

The generic is undoubtedly nailing the event this morning, but not sure for all the right reasons

Behind Schiaparelli's head pieces is actually the Israeli artist Ami Zrog (43).

Of course, the fashion house made sure to clarify on its Instagram feed that the creations are "fake", and that "no animal was harmed during the creation of these looks".

Still, the reviews were not slow in coming.

Kylie Jenner's viewers and fans were furious in the comments about her outfit with claims ranging from "it encourages hunting" to "an animal's head is not a fashion statement".

Some commenters on the networks even wondered at first if it was a real lion's head.

Another crazy look spotted, before Schiaparelli's beastly haute couture show began, was sponsored by Doge Kat.

The American singer and rapper wore a red all-over performance, designed by the fashion house of course, and included: 30,000 crystals attached to her upper body including the face and head, a red silk corset, and a handmade crocheted skirt that combined wooden beads.
