Before the partially defatted flour, the EU ok for powdered crickets, and for frozen, paste and dried crickets had already arrived in March 2022. The first insect to be given the green light as a new food by the EU member states on a proposal from the European Commission was the larva of the miller tendril, but only in dried form, in June 2021.
