The state of health of Argentine pianist Martha Argerich remains worrying.
The musician was forced to cancel her concerts planned in Lyon, the week of January 9, as well as the various other recitals planned in Europe, including three dates in Rome, by the beginning of February.
These false leaps are multiplying, while Martha Argerich had already had to suspend some of her commitments in December.

, despite a precarious state of health due to a heart problem, Martha Argerich, suffering, is no longer able to ensure her next commitments and cancels recitals and tours until further notice”
, said Piano in Lyon in a press release published in mid-January.

In Lyon, Salle Molière where Martha Argerich was to perform, the pianist was replaced at short notice by her compatriot Sergio Tiempo.
In Rome, where she was to play alongside the Orchestra of the National Academy of Saint Cecilia, it was the Icelandic Víkingur Ólafsson who took over.
When Martha Argerich had already had to suspend some of her engagements last month, it fell to the Russian-American pianist Kirill Gerstein to fill in for the virtuoso Argentine for her recitals scheduled for December 14 and 15 at the Philharmonie de Paris.
Aged 81, Martha Argerich is one of the most renowned and distinguished pianists of the 20th century, alongside Daniel Barenboim, with whom she has played countless times over the past fifty years.
