The suspect in the case of a theft of millions from a money transport company in Stuttgart has been arrested at the airport in the city of Baden-Württemberg.
The 42-year-old was brought before a magistrate who executed the existing arrest warrant, police and prosecutors said.
The woman had arrived at Stuttgart Airport on a plane from Montenegro on Monday evening.
Federal police and police officers had expected their arrival.
The alleged thief had previously contacted the investigators through her lawyer and announced that she wanted to turn herself in.
She was wanted by public manhunt and international arrest warrant.
Investigations into the loot are ongoing
The former employee of the money transport company is said to have taken advantage of her job and stole more than one million euros in October.
A police spokeswoman said investigations into the loot were ongoing.
Nothing can be said about whereabouts.
The suspect was questioned.
The police have not yet released any information about their statements.
