The decision was made by a majority of votes: the North District Planning and Construction Committee reports today (Tuesday) that it has decided to approve the expansion of the Dalton Industrial Park by an additional 310 dunams.
The committee's decision came after presenting chapters of the environmental impact report and hearing the plan's editors and presenters, representatives of the local authorities, the CEO of the Dalton Industrial Park, and in view of the position of the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
According to the committee, this alternative balances the development and expansion needs of Dalton Park, which excels as a park A successful and well-maintained industry that contributes, among other things, to the development of regional specialization in the wine industry and the cultivation of vineyard agriculture and employment in the north of the country - and the unique values of nature, landscape and agriculture around it.

In addition, the committee was convinced that in view of the existence and development of extensive land reserves for industry in the Eastern Galilee, this alternative allows for sufficient space for the expansion of the Dalton industrial zone, located, as mentioned, in the heart of an area with exceptional ecological and scenic qualities, while effectively exploiting areas within the existing employment zone .
In addition, the committee adopts the comments of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and decides to approve the preparation of an EIA. The plan will be coordinated with the Ministry of Defense, as well as with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, which will submit instructions in an environmental impact review. Furthermore, it was learned that the process until occupancy and construction will take between one and
two
years.
For Dalton Park, Lelo Wilensky, expressed his satisfaction with the decision and said that: "We reached this achievement thanks to the four heads of the park's partner authorities, the chairman of Dalton Park, Amit Sofer, Benny Ben Mubacher, Elias Elias and Shoki Ohana, who pushed and pressed for the expansion of the park."
