Munich – When choosing a parcel service provider, customers in Germany are spoiled for choice.

The well-known names of the guild in Germany include DHL, Hermes, UPS and DPD.

However, they are not always able to satisfy their customers when the parcels are delivered.

A DHL customer recently experienced the triple package nightmare of "thrown, torn open, goods gone".

Meanwhile, the threat of a Hermes parcel recipient to sue caused a heated discussion – and not only got approval.

Customers can also have their parcel sent to the DHL Packstations.

This can be a useful option if you are not at home at the time of the planned delivery.

DHL customer desperate at Packstation: messenger pushes the shipment with "force" into a compartment that is a little too small

The delivery of a DHL package in this way worked smoothly for one customer.

However, picking it up at the Packstation caused him a lot of problems.

He vented his anger on Twitter and showed with "proof photos" why he was anything but satisfied with the work of the DHL messenger.

"A little reminder for your deliverers, dear DHL Paket team," he wrote in his tweet: "If a package can only be pushed into the packing station with force, then the customer won't get it out at all or only with even more force, because there is an edge on the inside of the Packstation compartments that it gets caught in.” In fact, two pictures of the package in the DHL Packstation compartment showed that the shipment seemed to have almost no leeway there.

A little reminder for your deliverers, dear @DHLpaket team:

If a package can only be pushed into the packing station with force, the customer cannot get it out at all or only with more force because there is an edge on the inside of the PS compartments, in which it gets stuck.

Despite Packstation fiasco: content of DHL package survives delivery without damage

Both photos clearly show that the DHL package was severely dented at the corners.

According to the DHL customer, this happened when trying to remove the shipment from what was supposedly too small a compartment in the packing station.

Another Twitter user worried about the integrity of the package content.

"Fortunately, the content didn't get any damage," the author of the tweet was able to reassure him: "That would have been a really terrible mess."

After all, the DHL customer was also somewhat forgiving despite the annoyance at the packing station.

"Please take the next larger subject for the next time.

Thank you very much,” he wrote in the direction of DHL.

For the time being, the company did not respond to the customer complaint, although the customer had tagged DHL Paket's Twitter account in his tweet.

Even if the parcel service providers often feel the displeasure of their customers, there is sometimes positive feedback for the messengers.

A DHL customer recently found that she "must praise DHL a lot today".
